DEDICATION TO TRAINING
What goes on behind the doors of Professional Hearing Services on Thursday afternoons?
Since we close at 2:00pm, have you ever wondered what we are doing? You'll be happy to know, we are keeping busy!
Thursday afternoons have been our training time for the past few years. Since hearing aid technology is constantly improving and is updated all the time, we need to keep up to date on ALL aspects of it to serve you.
Our trainings are designed to continually improve the exceptional customer service you have come to expect. We never assume we "know it all" and can't be better. PHS constantly strives to find better ways to provide service which make people remember us fondly.
At times, trainers from the different hearing aid manufacturers have come to PHS to keep us on top of all the newest developments and sometimes we go away to train. The lab technicians continue to learn about the advances in wireless technology. They can hook up the accessories and show you what a difference a TV streamer might make for you. I'd like to encourage you to ask them about the changes in hearing aid accessories next time you are in. Everyone in the lab has undergone extensive training and has practiced using the software and pairing to the hearing aids. Did you know that some hearing aids can even connect to your cell phone now? Ask to see it demonstrated!
Recently, a group of world-class trainers spent the afternoon with us. The entire staff was reminded of the impact of hearing loss, not only on the hearing impaired person but on the entire family. Helen Keller once said, "Blindness separates us from things. Deafness separates us from people."
So if you happen to forget and stop by late on a Thrusday, remember we are taking time to continue our quest to be the best we can be for you, your family, your neighbors, and our community.
